About ClozePro

ClozePro is a tool for cloze activities - children click on words to fill in gaps in sentences. You can also use it to create paper-based cloze activities very quickly and easily.

Using ClozePro

You simply click on letters, words or phrases in the grid to fill the highlighted gap in the text. To choose the highlighted gap, just click on whichever gap you want to fill.

ClozePro is the newest addition to the Crick Software family. It provides a range of exciting and stimulating activities for learners of all ages and abilities and across all subject areas.

Activities are incredibly easy to set up - just copy and paste text into ClozePro and then take out every seventh word, or specify the number of words to remove - it only takes a few clicks. Or you can be more selective and highlight the exact text you wish to remove. This could be words, phrases, or groups of letters.

Use text from your children's current topic work, or simply copy text from a web page! Whether you're teaching primary or secondary school pupils, or pupils with special needs, ClozePro can enhance and reinforce teaching and learning.

ClozePro provides structured reports for you to track a child's progress in the activities, including information on the prompts used and the attempts made.

ClozePro also comes with high-quality software speech so children can hear the words in the grid, or the activity text, before they answer.

ClozePro comes with the Crick Picture Library to illustrate the activities. You can also use your own pictures.

There are a wide range of accessibility options for people who cannot use a mouse or keyboard. We can also provide a wide range of access devices - Switches.

Primary school children
ClozePro is appropriate for all primary children. Ideal for all literacy work, it gives practice and reinforcement to support classroom activities. Younger learners can use picture and speech support whilst older children can focus on longer, more complex texts. ClozePro has prompts to provide clues if a child needs it. The flexible design and layout features of ClozePro ensure that children are using the software at the most appropriate level.

Secondary school children
You can create activities for any curriculum area and use it with all your children to practise and reinforce learning. You can create multiple-choice tasks and exam revision exercises, covering any topic or subject area.

Special needs
